We’re passionate about good quality cookware at Circulon because like you, we love cooking and enjoy eating even more!
We know you take cooking seriously and expect the best quality from us but we wanted to find out exactly what defines a good cook surveying 2,000 people to find out just that.
We discovered that confidence was a key attribute with ‘good cooks’ happily experimenting with new dishes and throwing together random ingredients. Our research also revealed that a good cook won’t shy away from cooking in front of guests with a preference for homemade sauces, condiments and gravies.
The survey identified that 22% of good cooks don’t weigh ingredients as they confidently add just the right concoction from instinct and will own a fully stocked spice rack and have ingredients like masala leaves, mustard seeds and truffle always in stock.
Inspiration for good cooks comes from cookery books (54% of our respondents) while 43% watch cookery programmes for ideas and tips.
Owning quality cookware and utensils also made the top 50 traits of a good cook list including a good set of knives and the average number of dishes made on rotation being 11 different meals.
Over half (54%) of those participating in our research said that they felt confident trying extravagant new recipes for friends and family and 55% said that they would know just the right herbs to use with dishes.
If you’d like to add something new to your rota of meals, why not try our beef brisket casserole with chilli and orange dumplings, sausage stuffed onions, nut roast or risotto with mushrooms?
