2 bottles of red wine
500ml orange juice
2 cinnamon sticks
½ tsp whole cloves
8 cardamom pods
Orange slices and cinnamon sticks to garnish
1Put the wine in the saucepan along with the orange juice, sugar, clementine slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves and cardamom pods
2Heat gently until the sugar dissolves and then simmer for a further couple of minutes before switching off the heat and straining the wine
3Serve the wine in heatproof glasses, garnished with orange slices and cinnamon sticks.
