Ingredients
- Vegetable oil
- King prawns (raw)
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 clove of garlic (sliced)
- Half a red chilli
- Fresh parsley (chopped)
- 100ml white wine
- 100g butter (cubed)
Instructions
- Put the pan on the heat at least 5 minutes before you start to cook, to ensure it is warmed through.
- Add the oil to the pan, and heat until it starts to smoke.
- Add the prawns to the pan in a single layer. As soon as you've added all of the prawns, go back around usinga spoon or tongs to turn them over to seal the other side.
- Add a pinch of salt and some black pepper, and the juice of half a lemon. Then sprinkle in the garlic, chilli, and parsley.
- Add the white wine, to deglaze the pan. Finally, add the butter and continue to cook for a few seconds until it has melted.
- Serve with crusty bread as a decadent and impressive starter.
